Smoke and Oak
Alex Johnston will be hosting an evening giving a toast to his local hospitality industry. Smoke and Oak will be hosting the first of many Jam Nights of 2020, with an extra special addition, as it will be them giving back to the hospo community; drink specials till 2am, late night food menu for knock offs and an open mic for anyone wanting to relieve some of the stress of their day.
Laura will be holding a master class on the 18th breaking down her cocktail and the ingredients in it. She has also started an Instagram page called ‘Hito_Cocktail_bylauraaikin’ where she will be doing photos and interviews of people in the territory who have inspired herself and the cocktail, along with promoting the local ingredients within her cocktail.
Jim Beam Tasting
Al will be hosting a tasting at Snapper Rocks on a selection of the Jim Beam Line and going over the History of the Jim Beam family and the roots of Bourbon and its evolution as the trade has been passed down from generation to generation. He will be speaking in detail about each of the different expressions of Jim Beam and what makes each unique. Friends, colleagues, and industry professionals have all been invited to attend as well as being open to general public. Event will be held on World Bartender Day, 24th February.
A Toast to Japanese Spirits
For the whole month of February, Chow! will have a toast to the Japanese sprits, promoting; Haku/Roku/Kakubin throughout the hole month, by having them as a tasting flight, and in cocktails.
