Hollee + Hamish will be working together to host a night of cocktails! Focusing on gin and bourbon the pair will serve up their signature The Perfect Blend cocktail; “Miss McGolly” by Hollee and “Hibiscus for Heather” by Hamish; as well as Hamish’s perfect serve Jim Beam Rye + Ginger and Hollee’s favourite Maker’s Mark Whiskey Highball. The pair will chat through the inspiration behind their Perfect Blend cocktails and have a chat about the ins and outs of Maker’s Mark and Jim Beam Rye. Chef Seb will also be serving up some charcuterie to compliment the flavours of our host’s cocktails.

Bush Fire Donations and Masterclass

Nola

The cocktail, SAIKAI, will be listed on the menu at Nola Adelaide and available for purchase from the 10th of February 2020.

The story behind the cocktail, SAIKAI, celebrates friendship and reunion. In true reflection of this theme, Nola will be donating $2 from each SAIKAI sale to the Red Cross Bushfire relief fund from the 10th to the 24th of February. The Red Cross Bushfire relief fund provides immediate needs for those affected by the widespread bushfires, as well as focuses on ways to rebuild community spirit and resilience.

Upon ordering a SAIKAI at our bar, customers will be invited to take a polaroid photo alongside whomever they are sharing the evening with. The polaroid will then be served alongside the cocktail, allowing the customers to reflect upon their friendship whilst enjoying their drinks.

On the 19th of February a free masterclass will be held in the upper mezzanine bar of Nola Adelaide. The masterclass will be hosted by finalist, Alayna Caruso, and will detail the background story of SAIKAI, as well as provide insight into the hero spirit used (ROKU GIN), and will finish off with a tasting of the cocktail.

Spaghetti + Spritz “Feast Fairly”

The perfect Italian pairing – spaghetti and spritz! For the two weeks of World Bartender Day, Nick’s is asking customers to Feast Fairly and choose his Spaghetti + Spritz pairing.

Bar Torino + Chianti will be working with Edible Exchange in order to reduce waste by using surplus, waste or imperfect ingredients. Chef Toby + Nick will work together to create a pasta that pairs brilliantly with Nick’s The Perfect Blend cocktail, The Italian Way, that will be available over the two weeks at both Bar Torino + Chianti.

$4 from every special sold will be donated to the Hutt Street Centre – a community charity that works to feed and house the homeless in Adelaide CBD.

Kayla will be hosting a day for the amazing women in the Adelaide industry. A place for the women in the Adelaide hospitality industry to get together, talk and learn off like minded females as well as having some delicious drinks and snack along the way, including her Perfect Blend cocktail “Empow-HER”.

Kayla will host the events with Erica Richards from Beam Suntory discussing what it means to be a Brand Ambassador and Nicola Dean from Maybe Mae talking about her ups and downs behind the stick in some of Adelaide’s best bars.

This is a place that women in our industry can be comfortable asking the hard questions and discussing the pressures that we all face day to day. Come, drink and be merry together!

Fermentation Masterclass

Delve into the world of fermentation with Jin! This hands-on, interactive class is suitable for all levels of experience and will last approximately 2 hours.

Guests will learn about and make several different types of ferments to take away with them. They will also enjoy “The Guardian of Lost Souls” – Jin’s The Perfect Blend cocktail as well as snacks from the Bar Torino kitchen!
