I will be hosting a cocktail highlight for the Sunday, 24th of feb at 2KW!

Conservation Council Fundraising

1. During the week we will have our cocktails available for purchase and $2 from each cocktail will be going to support the Conservation Council SA. This non-profit works on major issues affecting Australia (mainly SA's) environment, including sustainability, marine conservation biodiversity and water and food recovery. This council works with the Adelaide Sustainability Center that helps run workshops, events and connects people together.

2. We will also be holding a dinner where the profits will also go to support the Conservation Council SA. This dinner will consist of 4 spirits and matched food items with a focus on South Australian produce and sustainability of our local flora & fauna. Chef will be using locally foraged and sustainably sourced South Australian native produce that will accompany; Sipsmith Gin, Maker's Mark Bourbon, Laphroig Whisky & Hibiki Japanese Whisky. It is $55pp and will be held on Thursday 21st on Feb.

I will also be advertising my cocktail in our menus, blackboards, social media and small flyer/card handouts.

World Bartender Day at Maybe Mae

Drink Promotion

• ‘Deadman’s Reef’ will be available at Maybe Mae, Shobosho and Sho for a limited time. Both will come with small menus upon request/suggestion that explain the location and importance of each ingredient in the drink, with a key focus on brand (Hakushu DR) and ‘Maximum Flavour/Minimum Waste’.

• At the restaurants mentioned, a small lunch promotion will be underway, in which the cocktail is paired with a dish (the house ramen). This ramen has a kombu stock, brown miso and nori in the hearty dish, which makes a terrific combination with the cocktail and it’s ingredients.

Social Media Activity

• Continued story and timeline activities throughout the week will maintain social media presence through my personal Instagram/Facebook.

• A livestream of me going to a location to forage for certain ingredients will occur during the promotional period, alongside commentary and live discussion with viewers on the issues of sustainability and the power of locality. Date TBA.

Whiskey Tasting

The Tokaido Mainline is available from now until the end of March @ NOLA Adelaide for $30.

On World Bartender Day I will be hosting a one hour whiskey tasting, including the 3 whiskies in The Tokaido Mainline (Yamazaki Distillers Reserve, Knob Creek Rye, Laphroaig  Quarter Cask) followed by a sample size version of the cocktail. Each whiskey will be accompanied by a flavoured chocolate that reflects the flavour represented by that whiskey in the cocktail. All inclusive $50, 3pm, Sunday 24th February.
