THE STORY BEHIND THE COCKTAIL NAME

My creation starts as both my parents have never tasted alcohol before...

Around a year ago when I started bartending they came to Australia on a visiting visa for my graduation ceremony. During this time I was able to share my passion with them, and allow them to try alcohol for the very first time. To ensure the experience would be palatable, I decided to construct a sweeter version of a mocktail that I enjoy - utilising the smooth flavours of Jim beam Double Oak, sweetened with gauva and a hint of sugar. A perfect balance of sweet and bitter.

This cocktail is as a homage to my parents, and a reflection of my graduation day. It reminds me that every day you are relearning new things that can be helpful for future.
