THE STORY BEHIND THE COCKTAIL NAME
Culturally, Japanese enjoy drinks feeling seasons. Watching cherry blossom in spring, stars in summer, moon in autumn, snow in winter. I got inspiration from the culture people especially enjoys cherry blossom season and have party under trees. Japanese traditional sake cups, “Sakazuki” also gave me inspiration for this drink as well. Its triangle shape like top of this martini glass. Its used for casual drinking and also celebration such as weddings or as Trophies. To get close people like being brothers, we still say “cross Sakazuki”. I designed this drink thinking of this culture and wish it helps spreading it here in Auckland.
