INGREDIENTS

50ml Ardmore

10ml Nasturtium Distillate

5ml Brisket Rub Infused Fino Sherry

3 dashes Australian Bitters - Aromatic Bitters

METHOD

Build over ice in beaker and stir. Strain over a single ice-block and garnish.

THE STORY BEHIND THE COCKTAIL NAME

When I drink Ardmore I am taken back to my Fathers 50th Birthday, out on the family farm we had a birthday bash which involved slow cooked meats, camping, bonfires and of course whisky.

The smoke that I get from the whisky reminds me of the bonfire and the smell of the clothes i wore that night.

I added a homemade nasturtium leaf as I asked my son (3yo at the time) to fetch me some flowers to add to the cocktails and he and Nan came back with handfuls of nasturtiums, the Brisket Rub infused Fino adds a nice warmth, and nuttiness to the cocktail while reminding me of the best Brisket I have ever cooked which happened to be on that night aswell!
